CHESAPEAKE -- A large rock slide closed all lanes of State Route 7 Monday in Lawrence County.

The rock slide happened near Chesapeake around 7:30 a.m.

ODOT said both westbound (north) lanes are closed near CR-124 (Tallow Ridge Road), east of the US-52 interchange and the 6th Street Bridge to West Virginia.

The route is open in one lane in the eastbound direction, according to ODOT. Westbound motorists will be detoured via the 6th and 17th Street bridges in West Virginia.

No one was hurt in the slide.

A spokesperson for ODOT said the westbound lanes could be closed for weeks.
