Otterbein University offers full-tuition scholarships to Officer Joering’s daughters

Otterbein University has offered full-tuition scholarships to the four daughters of fallen Westerville Police Officer Eric Joering.

Chief of Staff Kristi Robbins made the announcement Tuesday evening at the Westerville City Council meeting.

At the same meeting, council members voted unanimously to retire Officer Joering's K9 partner, Sam, and let him go home with his family.

Officer Joering was killed along with Officer Anthony Morelli on February 10 while responding to a 911 hang-up call.
