'The Wizard of Oz' returns to theaters starting today for film's 80th anniversary


In celebrations of the film's 80th anniversary, "The Wizard of Oz" is coming back to theaters starting Sunday.

Turner Classic Movies and Fathom Events have teamed up to bring the movie back to theaters for three days: Sunday, Jan. 27, Tuesday, Jan. 29 and Wednesday, Jan. 30.

This screening marks the first film in the TCM Big Screen Classics series for 2019. Others movies in the series include “My Fair Lady,” “To Kill A Mockingbird,” “Ben-Hur” and others.
