Why we love Cardale; QB visited video game foe in hospital after stroke

A young Buckeye fan who received national attention earlier this year after Cardale Jones ran up the score against him on EA Sports NCAA Football has suffered a setback.

According to his mother, Jared Foley has spent the last several days in the emergency room as the result of a stroke.  Foley had to be ventilated and was even admitted to the ICU.

However, 12-Gauge was right there to lift Jared’s spirits.  Jones visited Foley at Nationwide Children’s Hospital on Wednesday.

Luckily this time, no video games were played.  In January, Jones visited Foley and trounced him 98-35 in an Ohio State – Georgia matchup.  Jones even tweeted a score clarification weeks later after several media outlets docked the 6’5” QB seven points.

Jared’s mom, Stacy, said Cardale was an “amazing young man for making it a priority to provide smile therapy” to her son, adding he “is class on and off the field.”

10TV wishes Jared a full and speedy recovery!
