The Westerville Public Library will be closed Friday, February 16th to honor fallen Westerville Police officers Eric Joering and Anthony Morelli.

In a message to staff, Executive Director Erin Francoeur says, “Westerville is going through a time of tremendous sadness and loss. Let us remember and build on the strength and kindness that defined the character of these men.”

The Library staff worked with Officer Morelli who served as the special duty officer for 20 years. The Friday closure will allow employees to attend the services and pay respect to the community protectors, the Westerville Division of Police.

Inside the library, the community is encouraged to write a message of support to the police #WestervilleStrong.
