Columbus City Schools, many central Ohio districts cancel classes due to snow, road conditions

Several schools in central Ohio are delaying or canceling classes for Tuesday.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Overnight snow has forced many central Ohio school districts to cancel classes on Tuesday.

Columbus City Schools has canceled all blended learning and remote learning classes and all extracurricular activities.

Some of the districts that are closed include Chillicothe, Dublin, Gahanna-Jefferson, Groveport-Madison, Hilliard, Lancaster, Marysville, Newark, Reynoldsburg, Southwest Licking, Upper Arlington, Worthington and Whitehall.

Central Ohio counties are also under snow emergencies and drivers are urged to use caution on the roads.

Up to two inches of snow fell in some areas overnight.

Latest Forecast: Light snow early then mostly cloudy, cold & breezy. High 27. Temperatures tumble into the teens tomorrow night with clearing skies. 

We’ll start out with light snow & clouds. Today will turn mostly cloudy & windy with highs in the mid to upper 20s but feeling like the teens. Clouds break through the night & we’ll hit the mid-teens. Tomorrow will be sunny with highs near 30. Clouds build on Thursday & we’ll top out near 40 with late day rain. We’ll see a mix to showers on Friday with highs near 34. It’ll be partly cloudy on Saturday with highs near 30. Snow arrives on Sunday & we’ll hit the mid-teens. More cold weather on Monday with some sun.
