LICKING COUNTY, Ohio — A female student at Watkins Memorial High School has been arrested after a "kill list" she allegedly posted was found.

Licking County Sheriff Randy Thorp said the 14-year-old freshman student posted the list in a chat room in May 2019 — last year's school year. The list included students and Donald Trump.

The sheriff's office says the investigation indicated that the student had no means to carry out the threats and there is "no immediate danger to students, staff or others mentioned on the list."

The student was arrested for making terroristic threats and sent to a juvenile detention facility pending an initial court appearance.

"The Licking County Sheriff's Office has, and shall continue to have a zero tolerance policy on threats to our schools. It is our hope, as always, that children who make these threats can receive necessary assistance at the guidance of the court and learn from the experience," the sheriff's office said.
