Victims ID'd in east side shooting (UPDATE)

Columbus Police have arrested and charged two suspects in the shooting death of two people on Tussing Road.

Police are searching for a pair of suspects after two people were shot and killed in a shopping center parking lot in east Columbus.

It happened near the intersection of Tussing and Brice Roads just after 2:00 p.m.

Columbus Police say a Dodger Charger and a Chevy Malibu pulled into the lot behind Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

There was a brief conversation and then a male suspect reached inside the Charger and shot both people inside.


20-year-old Gary Francis was pronounced dead at the scene, while James Miller Jr., 21, died about an hour later at Grant Medical Center.

Authorities are currently searching for a silver Chevy Malibu with a license plate reading GGG-5326.

Police say the vehicle was being driven by a female and the passenger was male.

They are to be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call Columbus Police.
