COLUMBUS — U.S. 33 westbound has been reopened at Interstate 270 on the city's southeast side after a semi hit the Watkins Road bridge Thursday afternoon.

However, officials say Watkins Road and the bridge spanning U.S. 33 is expected to be closed indefinitely until repairs are done.

"It will likely be months before the beam is replaced and the road reopens," the Ohio Department of Transportation said in a release.
