Troopers seize 92 pounds of pot during Madison County traffic stop

MADISON COUNTY, Ohio – Ninety-two pounds of marijuana were seized during a traffic stop in Madison County on Tuesday, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

OSHP said 27-year-old Whisky Vang, from Minneapolis, Minnesota, was pulled over on Interstate 70 near milepost 76 around 10:30 a.m. for an unsafe lane change.

Troopers said they noticed an odor of marijuana coming from the 2011 Ford Taurus and conducted a probable cause search.

The drugs found in the car is valued at around $460,000.

A second-degree felony charge of possession of marijuana was filed against Vang and he is in custody at the Tri-County Regional Jail.

OSHP said if convicted, Vang could face up to eight years in prison and be fined up to $15,000.
