'This too shall pass': Urban and Shelley Meyer speak on changes from coronavirus

Former Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer and his wife, Shelley Meyer, talked with 10TV's Dom Tiberi about the effects of the coronavirus.

The impact of the virus can be felt everywhere, including in Florida where the Meyers currently are. In Ohio, Gov. DeWine ordered schools to close for three weeks as well as the closure of dine-in restaurants, bars, salons and much more.

Despite this, Urban says an overreaction is better than an underreaction. He says to trust the people in charge and medical professionals and that "this too shall pass."

"We’re just praying that it all turns around real fast," he said.

Shelley also drove home the importance of staying responsible and safe during these virus precautions — even for younger people who may feel invincible.

"Keep your distance, wash your hands, if you’re sick, do not go out," she said.

She says even if you're cooped up to be sure to reach out and use coping skills as far as keeping yourself healthy mentally.

Even with many sports leagues suspended or postponed, Urban has high hopes for the Buckeyes.

"Sports will be back. Ohio State will be stronger than ever. The C-Virus is not slowing down the Buckeyes and recruiting I can promise you that," he said. "Ohio State's the place to be."
