Thousands without power in central Ohio as storms move through

Thousands of people are without power Thursday night after storms moved through central Ohio.

Around 1,100 customers are without power in Franklin County as of 9:50 p.m., mainly in the areas of Dublin, Hilliard and southeast Columbus.

Between 2,000 and 2,200 AEP customers in Fairfield County, 1,200 in Pike County, around 690 in Licking County and 515 in Perry County are also without power.

AEP said power is estimated to be restored to the area by midnight or 12:30 a.m.

The power is also out for approximately 2,000 Dayton Power & Light customers in Fayette County where the estimated time of restoration varies for the outage areas.

Approximately 900 South Central Power customers in Fairfield County, around 970 in Pickaway County, 100 in Perry County and 85 in Franklin County are also without power.

The estimated time of restoration for South Central Power customers varies according to the company’s outage map.
