Superintendent to host safety meeting after Groveport Madison fight, lockdown

GROVEPORT -- A safety meeting is being held after a fight and rumors of a weapon at Groveport Madison High School.

The superintendent has invited parents to attend the event to get information about what happened.

The district said it'll be addressing what the district has done and will be doing to improve safety. Police will also be in attendance.

A video surfaced on social media showing a large number of students involved in an incident on Oct. 29. The school was locked down. Police said two 15-year-old students would likely face charges.

The school district said no weapon was ever recovered.

The meeting will be held at Groveport Madison Schools District Service Center at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
