The Pickerington Central Tigers fell in the Division I State Championship against Cincinnati St. Xavier 44-3 Friday night.
The St. Xavier Bombers scored a Division I state title record of 30 points in the first quarter.
The Tigers were playing for potential back-to-back state titles and three out of the last four.
The Tigers won the state title in 2017 with a 56-28 win over Mentor and in 2019 with a 21-14 win over Cincinnati Elder.
