McIlroy, Thomas, Fowler, and Schauffele are latest commitments for 2020 Memorial Tournament

The players join a growing list who will compete at Muirfield Village Golf Club in July.

DUBLIN, Ohio — The Memorial Tournament announced four more participants for this year’s tournament happening in July.

On Wednesday, the tournament announced No. 1 ranked and reigning FedEx Cup champion Rory McIlroy, former major championship winner Justin Thomas, Rickie Fowler, and Xander Schauffele will now be part of the field.

They join a list of players including Phil Mickelson, 2018 winner Bryson DeChambeau, Bubba Watson, Jason Day, Patrick Cantlay, Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson and Sergio Garcia .

The Memorial Tournament will be played July 13-19 in front of fans at Muirfield Village Golf Club, but there will be safety guidelines in place due to the coronavirus pandemic.
