Crew SC acquires goalkeeper Andrew Tarbell in trade with Earthquakes

The 26-year-old is a four-year MLS veteran who had made 41 regular-season appearances with 40 starts.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus Crew SC has acquired goalkeeper Andrew Tarbell via a trade with the San Jose Earthquakes.

Tarbell comes to Columbus in exchange for $75,000 in 2020 General Allocation Money.

The 26-year-old is four-year MLS veteran who had made 41 regular-season appearances with 40 starts.

“Andrew is a talented goalkeeper with proven experience in our League,” said Crew SC President and General Manager Tim Bezbatchenko. “He is someone who will push our goalkeeping group, as well as help us strengthen our roster. We are excited to welcome Andrew to Columbus Crew SC and look forward to working with him.”

During his time in San Jose, Tarbell registered 128 saves in MLS regular-season action.
