Shaking back-to-school jitters

The countdown is on for the first day of school, and that can make some kids nervous.

Kristin Mullin, a kindergarten teacher in New Albany, offers some advice for parents to help their kids shake those jitters.

"They can bring a family picture, to make themselves feel comfortable to look at that if they miss mom or dad. They can bring in a stuffed animal that makes them feel comfortable as well," Mullen said.

She also suggests walking to school with kids before school starts and walking around the playground to allow them to get used to their school surroundings.
