Dump truck, train involved in crash in Ross County (UPDATE)

The Ross County Sheriff's Office and the Ohio State Highway Patrol are continuing to investigate a collision involving a dump truck and train Thursday evening.

The crash happened on a private driver at 6580 Three Locks Road, south of Chillicothe just after 4 p.m.

The 62-year-old driver of the dump truck, Marty Chasteen, was going westbound and failed to yield the right of way to the southbound Norfolk Southern train.

Chasteen was flown by Med-Flight to OSU hospital. He was conscious and alert at the scene according to the Ross County Sheriff's Office.
