COLUMBUS, Ohio – A Reynoldsburg mother who taped her two-year-old son to a wall and streamed it on Facebook has been sentenced to nine months in prison.

Shayla Rudolph, 19, received the sentence in Franklin County Common Pleas Court on Friday after she pleaded guilty to a charge of attempted child endangering on Oct. 16.

In the video, Rudolph’s son, wearing only a diaper, can be seen taped to the wall. The boy’s arms, head and ankles were secured to the wall and tape covered his mouth.

“This woman posted a live video on social media depicting her toddler taped to the wall because she needed to clean,” Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said when Rudolph was indicted. “A person who had watched the live video contacted the authorities and the toddler has since been removed from the home and turned over to Franklin County Children Services.”
