Reynoldsburg father and son arrested with marijuana during traffic stop in Indiana

HENRY COUNTY, Ind. (10TV) - A Reynoldsburg man and his son were arrested after officers found several pounds of marijuana and marijuana products during a traffic stop in eastern Indiana.

According to WTHR, Indiana Police say 39-year-old Christofer Karr of Reynoldsburg, Ohio was stopped for driving 89 mph in a 70 mph zone on Interstate 70 near the New Castle exit Monday morning.

As a trooper spoke with Karr and his 22-year-old son Todd, he could smell the odor of raw marijuana inside the vehicle.

The trooper and two others who stopped to assist, found two pounds of raw marijuana in the car, as well as two pounds of packaged marijuana edibles, waxes and oils.

The suspects told police they had bought the products in Colorado. While buying marijuana and its derivatives is legal in Colorado, possessing them in Indiana remains illegal.

The father and son were booked into the Henry County Jail for dealing marijuana, a misdemeanor.
