New allegations are emerging just days after a Republican state representative stepped down for inappropriate behavior.

The Washington Post reports that Wes Goodman was accused of fondling an 18-year-old man at a hotel in Washington D.C.

The teenager attended an event with his parents to raise money for Goodman's campaign. The teen reportedly ran from the hotel room and told his parents.

The post says it has a letter to Goodman from the conservative group Council For National Policy dated December 18, 2015, two months after the alleged fondling incident.

The paper says it seems to show the Evangelical group acknowledging the incident and detailing that Goodman was receiving counseling.

Goodman resigned Wednesday. Reports claim that he stepped down after the discovery he had a consensual sexual encounter with another man while on the job.
