Documents show Mitchell has been investigated by Internal Affairs seven times. We were able to obtain detailed records on one of the investigations.

It outlines a traffic stop involving Mitchell's personal vehicle, driven by a woman without a license, drugs were found on a passenger and Mitchell's police belt, baton, ammunition clips, hat and police ID were found in the back.

He said the woman was a tenant and borrowing his truck and he was not aware of the license or the drugs.

The investigation found the only allegation sustained was Officer Mitchell did not properly secure his division equipment.
