Purdue fan Tyler Trent honored at Ohio State basketball game

COLUMBUS, Ohio - A Purdue superfan whose battle against cancer inspired many was honored at the Ohio State University basketball game at the Schottenstein Center Wednesday.

Players, coaches and attendees participated in a moment of silence for Tyler Trent before the game against Purdue University.

His picture was shown on the scoreboard above the court and sign with the phrase 'We are #TylerStrong" was sprawled across the audience.

Trent passed away earlier this month.

Within just the past few months, Tyler was recognized in many ways for his accomplishments, including his work in cancer research.
