Police working to ID man seen stealing from victim killed in Columbus motorcycle crash

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus Police are seeking help in identifying a suspect who was caught on video stealing from a deceased man.

On the morning of Sept. 2, 25-year-old Bradley Bethel was killed after he lost control of his motorcycle and hit a building on E. Livingston Avenue.

Before responders arrived, an SUV was seen pulling up to the scene. Police say the driver got out of the car, lifted the victim’s arm and stole a Kel-Tec 9mm handgun from his holster.

The suspect stayed as responders arrived and was seen talking to them.

Police say they hope the suspect can be identified so they can close the case and provide closure to Bethel’s family.
