Police: Short North ice cream shop robbed at gunpoint

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Police are looking for a man they said robbed a Short North ice cream shop at gunpoint on Monday afternoon.

Police said the man walked into CRMD Ice Cream at 1190 North High Street around 2:15 p.m. and asked for change for a parking meter.

When the employee opened the register, police said the suspect pulled out a gun and demanded all of the money. The employee handed over the cash and the suspect left the store.

The suspect is described as black and in his mid-20s.

He is believed to be between 5 feet, 8 inches to 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 180-200 pounds. He was wearing a dark-colored jacket, a yellow Kappa hooded sweatshirt, black pants, tennis shoes, and had an American flag bandana over his face.
