Police Shoot, Kill Man Who Held Gun To Another’s Face

A man died after being shot by officers Monday evening in north Columbus.

According to police, the shooting occurred shortly before 7 p.m. in the 3500 block of Beulah Road.

Police said that they received two separate 911 calls about an incident inside of a home on the street.

Officers said one of the calls was from the suspect and the other was from a person in the home who said that the suspect was pointing a gun at his face.

It was not clear if the man shot by police fired his gun.

The man was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The conditions surrounding the shooting were unknown. Police blocked off Beulah Road during the investigation.
