Police Search For Shooter After 61-Year-Old Man Shot And Killed


Columbus Police are searching for information about the person responsible for shooting and killing a 61-year-old man.

It happened around 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the 700 block of Griggs Avenue.

Officers responded to the call of a man who was dead upon arrival. When they arrived, they determined he had been shot.

The man was later identified as Rex A. Freeman.

Police are attempting to determine a suspect and a motive for the killing. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at (614) 645-TIPS.
