Police Say COTA Bus Video Shows Crash Involving Judge

10TV has obtained video of a crash that landed an Ohio judge in jail.

Judge Dean Wilson is charged with OVI and Hit-Skip, both misdemeanors.

Wilson built his name in Perry County warning against the very crime of which he now stands accused.

Video from onboard the COTA bus shows the bus with about 10 passengers heading west on Spring Street in downtown Columbus.

Columbus Police say Wilson was intoxicated as he maneuvered his car down Spring Street.

Officers say he drove his black Mercedes into a lane closed off by construction cones.

The video shows the car attempting a last-minute merge into the side of the bus.

Mark Williams was a passenger on the bus

"It wasn't like he sideswiped. It was like he hit directly into it," said Williams.

The video then shows the car back up and drive off.

Columbus Police stopped Wilson 12 miles away, and say he refused breathalyzer and field sobriety tests.
