Police: Man Holds Knife To Woman’s Throat At Peanut Shoppe

Police were searching Saturday for the man who allegedly held a peanut shop employee at knifepoint.

According to investigators, a man entered The Peanut Shoppe located at 46 N. High St., at about 4 p.m. on Friday.

The man allegedly approached a female employee and asked her about candy. He then allegedly approached the woman from behind and held a knife to her throat.

The victim told police that she believed the man intended to force her into a back room, until a customer entered the store.

The employee then called for help and the man fled the scene.

The man was described as white with a trimmed, full beard and seemed to be in his mid 30s. He stood approximately 6 feet tall and was about 300 lbs.
