Police identify woman killed in head-on crash in south Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio - One person was killed in a head-on crash involving a cement truck on Tuesday morning.

Columbus police responded to a two-vehicle crash around 8:30 a.m. on South High Street and Hosack Street near State Route 104.

Police said a semi was headed northbound on South High Street while 41-year-old Tiffany Doby of Columbus was driving a car southbound.

She drove into the opposite lanes and hit the truck head one, according to police.

Police are investigating why Doby drove into the northbound lanes.

Doby was pronounced dead at Grant Medical Center.

The driver of the semi was not injured.

South High Street was closed as authorities investigated the crash. It has since reopened.
