Police identify woman killed after being hit by vehicle in southeast Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio - A woman is dead after being hit by a vehicle in southeast Columbus, according to police.

Columbus police said the crash happened around 10 p.m. in the area of Ebright Road and Winchester Pike, near Madison Township.

Investigators say a Mazda MZ3 struck and killed 24-year-old Lanie Motley. The vehicle did remain at the scene and no charges have been filed at this time.

This crash remains under investigation.

Police said the driver stayed at the scene.
