Police identify man killed in fatal north Columbus hit-skip crash


COLUMBUS, Ohio Columbus police identify the man killed after a hit-skip that happened Saturday, April 18, 2020 in north Columbus.

According to police, Michael Hall, 40, was walking in the area of North 4th Street and Alden Avenue just before 3:40 a.m. when he was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on North 4th Street.

Hall was pronounced dead just before 3:50 a.m. by first responders. The vehicle fled the scene.

Police say the vehicle is suspected to be a silver/grey Toyota Camry.

North 4th Street between East Northwood Avenue and East Oakland Avenue was shut down for several hours after the crash, but the area has since reopened.

Anyone with information on the crash or vehicle involved is asked to contact police or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers.
