A Columbus mother has been missing for more than a year and now police say there's reason to suspect foul play.

Shaniece Briggs was reported missing by her mother, Mrs. Melissa Williams, on Saturday, June 22, 2013.  Ms. Briggs was last seen by her stepfather on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at approximately 1:00 a.m. at her residence after he picked up his daughter from her home.

Briggs’ back door of her residence was left unlocked and she did not take her purse or her keys; Ms. Briggs did take her cell phone with her.  It was reported by a neighbor that she was pushed into a black car that was parked in the rear of her residence.

Briggs is a mother of four children ages 6, 5, 2, and 1.  She missed her son's kindergarten graduation and her youngest child's 1st birthdate.  It was reported to investigators that this is unusual because Ms. Briggs was a good mother and loved her kids.

Detectives have received calls during the course of the investigation that there were sightings of her, but none were confirmed.
