According to police, a 17-year-old male and others went to the home on East Livingston Avenue to sell a handgun.

Police said the 17-year-old started shooting instead of going forward with the sale.

Another person fired back at the 17-year-old, police said.

The 17-year-old left the scene but was later arrested by police.

The ShotSpotter technology is in the area but it did not pick up this shooting because it happened inside a house.

Because of the shooting, Livingston Elementary School was placed under lockdown.
