Police: 19-year-old robbed, shot in southwest Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Columbus police are investigating a robbery and shooting in the southwest side of a city on Thursday.

According to police, officers responded to Doctor's West Hospital just after 4 p.m. where a 19-year-old victim was suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper and lower body.

Police say they learned that the victim had been approached by two males near the 1600 block of Belvoir Boulevard who demanded money.

After taking the money, police say one of the suspects shot the victim twice.
