OSHP: Woman not wearing seat belt killed in single-vehicle crash in Fairfield County

FAIRFIELD COUNTY - The Lancaster Post with the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle crash in Fairfield County.

It happened Tuesday on U.S. 22 just after 9:45 p.m.

Kasindra Monst, 52, of Circleville was driving east on U.S. 22 when she drove off the right side of the road and over-corrected. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the road. The vehicle then overturned, and she struck a utility pole.

According to investigators, Monst was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle.

Monst was taken by the Clearcreek Township Medic to Berger Hospital where she later died from her injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol urges all motorists to use all available safety equipment.

The crash remains under investigation.
