One injured after semi-truck overturns near downtown Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- One person was taken to the hospital after a semi-truck overturned on I-670 Sunday afternoon.

Police said emergency responders were called to the westbound lanes of I-670 near Neil Avenue around 3 p.m.

A truck carrying mulch or dirt was on its side and the cargo was spilled all over the highway.

The left westbound lanes were blocked as well as a left lane on the eastbound side.

The person hospitalized was taken to Grant Medical Center in stable condition, according to police.
