Olentangy schools are back open following brief lockdown

Delaware, OH - All Olentangy schools are back open following a brief lockdown due to a false alarm.

The Delaware County Sheriff's Office says around 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, a witness heard a shot fired toward a newspaper delivery driver. The sheriff now confirms the shot came from some type of pellet-like gun.

Authorities then took precautions, locking down Olentangy Orange High School and Olentangy Orange Middle School. They also advised residents in the area to stay in their homes.

Deputies told 10TV they are continues to investigate this situation.
