Woman Arrested In Fatal Shooting, Fire

Police have arrested a woman suspected of trying to cover up a murder by starting a fire. Get the latest.

A woman who police said may have set a fire to cover up a murder was arrested on Thursday.

Tamara Smith was charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of Jackie Hagwood,10TV News reported.

Firefighters were called to a blaze Wednesday morning at a home on Devonshire Road. Afterentering the home, firefighters found Hagwood's body.

Police said Hagwood, 44, had been shot to death and the fire was set to cover up theshooting.

Smith, 22, appeared in court on Friday and was ordered held on $1 million bond, 10TV Newsreported.
