Pieces of mail were scattered across east Columbus roads after a driver cut off a mail semi-truck, causing it to crash into a tree.
Parts of Agler Road was shut down between Stelzer Road and North Cassady Avenue as crews cleared the scene and sorted through all the mail. The road reopened around 7:15 a.m.
The truck crashed into the tree just after 3:00 a.m. Wednesday. Police say the truck driver was carrying mail when he told them another car went left of center, causing the truck driver to swerve. He couldn't control it, so he hit a tree and tipped the vehicle on its side. As a result, mail dumped out of the vehicle into the street.
The truck driver wasn't hurt.
As for the other vehicle, police are still trying to get some information about who was driving and what may have caused the crash.
