A tweet detailing a creative way a man in the United Kingdom decided to hand in his resignation is going viral.

Hannah posted the pictures to Twitter Thursday, which showed a sympathy card with the words "So very sorry for your loss" on the front. On the inside, the colleague wrote his last day would be July 28, just above the printed line, "Thinking of you at this difficult time."

As of Saturday, the post has been liked more than 400,000 times and retweeted nearly 75,000 times.

"I've been working here for almost a year now and had to hand my notice in as I'm going back to university this September," Sam Baines, the employee who handed in the resignation, told INSIDER. "We are a really close team and have a fantastic manager, so we're always joking around and having fun. I knew I had to do something a little more creative when giving my notice to try and get one more joke in before I left!"
