WEATHERFORD, Texas — Breastfeeding moms are praising a Target store in Texas for encouraging moms to nurse "wherever and whenever" while shopping.

A photo of the framed sign at the Target in Weatherford was posted last week to a Facebook group called "Breastfeeding Mama Talk."

"At Target, you are free to nurse wherever and whenever you like while you shop because we think #momsrock," the sign read in part.

The sign also goes on to say moms had the option to nurse or change a diaper in the store's Nursing Room.

Hundreds of mothers have commented on the post — which has been shared more than 50,000 times — describing their own experiences while breastfeeding Target stores.

"I had a lady once harass me in the food court at Target. She went to get a manager. And the manager ended up asking her to leave and gave me a free drink," wrote one mom. "I was a new mom with a tongue tied baby. That simple gesture made my year."

"I worked at Target while nursing my first kiddo. They were one of the most supportive employers I've ever had when it's come to pumping," another mom wrote. "I got a private space, didn't have to take the time out of my regular break, and my bosses usually had some snacks and something to drink waiting in there. Retail is brutal but target was honestly amazing."
