Sportscaster Jimmy Crum Dies At 80

Legendary Columbus television sports anchor Jimmy Crum has died.

The former NBC4 broadcaster, who spent four decades in local radio and televisionbefore retiring from Channel 4 in 1993, was 80.

Crum was known for his trademark plaid sports coats and catch-phrase "How aboutthat!"

He was inducted in the Ohio Associated Press Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2002.

The sports anchor will also be remembered for his community service, including theannual fundraiser for Recreation Unlimited, an organization that provides activities for peoplewith disabilities.

Crum is survived by his son, James Crum, and his daughter, jazz singer KellyDelaveris. Crum's wife, Miriam, passed away in 2005.
