Ohio Ballot Board Certifies Cannabis Rights As Single Ballot Issue

Backers of the cannabis rights amendment to the Ohio constitution can now gather signatures to put it on the Ohio ballot.

Ohio elections officials have decided that the cannabis rights amendment will be a single issue if it's placed on the Ohio ballot.

Backers of the marijuana law change now have to gather 385,253 signatures to get the issue on the November ballot.

The signatures must come from at least 44 of 88 counties.

The deadline is July 6 for submitting issues for the November ballot his year.

The proposal would legalize the use of medical marijuana and the growing of hemp.
