STOCKTON, Calif. (CNN) – Imagine driving down the road and in the car next to you is a child holding up a sign saying “HELP ME SHE’S NOT MY MOM!! HELP!!”

Drivers in Sacramento did and called several called police when they saw it.

Multiple police were called out and pulled the driver over only to find out the girl had made it all up and thought it was a fun thing to do.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the girl’s mom said she had no idea what her daughter was doing in the backseat.

No one got a ticket, but police were bothered by the incident.

They said six police units went out on calls about the sign instead of responding to legitimate calls or patrolling parts of the community.

“This is a reminder that parents need to be aware of what their children are doing in the back seat at all times.”
