POWELL, Ohio - Zoombezi Bay will be welcoming guests back to the park later this month.

It was announced in April that Zooombezi Bay's opening was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. It was originally scheduled to open May 16.

The park will open for season pass holders and gold members on June 19. All guests can start visiting on June 22. The park will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

All visits will now require a dated, timed ticket, including season pass holders and gold members. Tickets can be purchased up to three weeks in advance and must be pre-purchased or pre-registered online.

Each ticket will also have an entry timeslot to minimize crowds in the parking lot and at the entrance.

There will only be one entrance to Zoombezi Bay, located at the Season Pass entrance off of the parking lot near the Wild Tides wave pool.

Zoombezi Bay says a majority of attractions will be open but during the initial opening the following will be closed: Cargo Crossing at Baboon Lagoon, the tipping bucket at Baboon Lagoon, and the basketball activity at Baboon Lagoon and Sand Dollar Shores.

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium will open June 12 for members and all guests are welcome to visit the zoo starting on June 15.
