Candlelight vigil held for Westerville woman missing since May 24

With the candlelight vigil, she said they hoped it would help bring peace to a tough situation for many.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Tonight friends, neighbors and community members gathered at Bicentennial Park around 8:00 p.m. to hold a candlelight vigil for Emily Noble.

Westerville Division of Police said the last confirmed sighting of Noble, 52, was Sunday, May 24. Police say her husband said they celebrated her birthday that day in uptown Westerville.

“I did see her Sunday night when she was getting ready to go on a walk, which she did many times,” neighbor John Kramer said.

Police say her husband said once they were back to their home on Abbey Cross Lane, they went to sleep. We are told when her husband woke up, she was gone; leaving her car keys phone and credit cards.

The family is offering a $10,000 reward for any information leading her location and return.

Tonight, as friends came together in prayer and sharing words of hope, they shared more about who Emily is as a person.

“She’s very helpful with me and my dad, my dad is 93 and she would help me out quite a bit when he would as she put it, escape from the house,” Kramer said.

John Kramer said he lives across from Noble and her husband. He describes Noble as a very trustworthy person and a good neighbor.

“We have a close-knit condo community and everybody is very shocked, we didn’t expect anything like this to happen so close to home,” Kramer said.

Friends told us she loves photography and takes a lot of nature pictures.

A friend since 2007, Wendy Carney-Hatch, said is kind, intelligent and has a smile that could light up a room.

“I’ve been doing everything I can to find her obviously searching and putting up flyers,” Carney-Hatch said.

She said it isn’t in character for her to disappear like this.

With the candlelight vigil, she said they hoped it would help bring peace to a tough situation for many.

“I’m hoping that we’ll get some new information to help solve, find out what happened just closure and peace for everyone involved,”

We have reached out to her husband and have not heard back just yet.
