One of the victims injured in the ride accident at the Ohio State Fair last year has died.
The family’s attorney confirmed 18-year-old Jennifer Lambert died Friday at 8:05 p.m.
She was last at a long-term care facility in Geneva.
One of the six gondolas on the Fire Ball at the fair broke loose, killing 18-year-old Tyler Jarrell, and injuring seven others on July 26, 2017.
Lambert suffered a traumatic brain injury.
Her attorney told 10TV earlier this year that it was unknown whether she would ever be self-supporting.
In April, a $1.7 million settlement was approved for Lambert.
Tyler Jarrell's mother, Amber Duffield released the following statement in regards to Lambert's death:
“This is a most unfortunate change in what was already an unfortunate circumstance to have your child’s life be. My heart hurts for this family. However I will say get behind #housebill631 so that NO family ends up where we are because they went to have a day of fun.”
