FBI agents serve search warrant for Householder's belongings at Riffe Center

Federal authorities executed a search warrant at the office of former Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder located at the Riffe Center on Friday.

In a statement, the Ohio House said they fully cooperated with the warrant for Householder's items adding they will continue to cooperate with federal investigators to "restore integrity and trust to the House.”

Householder and four others were arrested and charged in a $60 million bribery scheme last week connected to House Bill 6, a bailout of two nuclear plants in Ohio.

On Thursday, the House voted 90-0 to remove Householder as the speaker. He was replaced by Rep. Bob Cupp.

According to FBI documents, agents were there to collect six boxes and four envelopes of personal items.

  • Paper calendar
  • Five thank you cards
  • Duke Energy thank you letter
  • Nine folders with papers
  • iPhone
  • Verizon mobile hotspot
  • JPL and Associates floor plan
  • Personal envelope with profile information
