Reward offered after $20,000 worth of equipment stolen from Vinton County fire station

A reward is being offered after a fire department in Vinton County says thousands of dollars of equipment had been stolen.

VINTON COUNTY, Ohio — A reward is being offered after a fire department in Vinton County says thousands of dollars of equipment had been stolen.

According to the Laurelville Volunteer Fire Department, someone broke into Station 3 on Narrows Road in Eagle Township, stealing $20,000 worth of equipment, including a $7,800 Eclipse Thermal Imaging Camera.

The department says several items and tools were also stolen from the Eagle Township Trustees building.

The fire department is offering a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Anyone with information on this theft is asked to contact the Vinton County Sheriff's Office at 740-596-5242.
